Type 13.1.1, a few words like cement plaster, or a rate like 347.05, and the items come up as you type.
- 2
Open the analysis and follow a line
See the labour, material and machinery behind the rate, and open a line like mortar 3.4 to see the item it comes from.
- 3
Change a rate and download the excel
Put in today’s rate for cement or labour and the item is worked out again, then download it as an excel file with live formulas in it.
Adjust one rate and see how it affects other items.
Cement goes into mortar 3.4, and that mortar goes into plaster 13.1.1. Change the cement rate and both of them are calculated again.
Item 3.4 uses 0.38 tonne of cement in every cum, and item 13.1.1 uses 0.144 cum of that mortar for every 10 sqm. So when cement goes to 6,000.00 a tonne, the plaster goes up by 6.60 a sqm, which is 1.90%.
| Item | In the book | With cement at 6,000.00 |
|---|---|---|
| 0367 Portland Cementper tonneIn the book 5,156.00 | 6,000.00 | |
| 3.4 Cement mortar 1:4per cumIn the book 3,708.80 | 4,029.50 | |
| 13.1.1 12 mm cement plaster 1:4per sqmIn the book 347.05 | 353.65 |
This is the same arithmetic the item page uses, and with nothing changed it gives CPWD’s own rate on 2,956 of the 2,964 analyses.
